For women in rural Pakistan in places like Sindh and South Punjab, this journey is not a choice. It is a daily struggle—a journey they must take, every day...sometimes twice a day.

They walk for hours everyday beneath the burning sun...only to reach water that is dirty, contaminated, and dangerous. But it is all they have.

This water is used to drink...to cook...to clean. It is given to children with trembling hands, knowing it could harm them. It's the same water that is drunk by animals and infested with all kinds of germs and infections. 

Every sip carries the risk of disease including diarrhea, malaria, cholera, hepatitis, skin infections, and fevers. For the most vulnerable, especially children, this water can mean life or death. In Pakistan, 53,000 children under the age of five die each year from waterborne diseases.

But...we can change this.

Your funds will enable the implementation of a Solar Powered Reverse Osmosis Water Plant that will purify the existing contaminated groundwater, removing the physical, biological and chemical contaminations, and providing 1,000 liters of clean, safe water every hour... every day...to over 3,000 people.
