Assalamalaikum (Peace be upon you),

For those of you who know me, I have spent a long time thinking about how I can support those who have been let down by the world. I have been fortunate in many ways, Alhamdulillah, and I want to pay that forward.

With this in mind, I will be going to Egypt between the 6th and 11th of March 2025, to help provide medical care alongside international and local doctors to Palestinian refugees. The medical camp is being led by Dr Medhat Abbas, the director of the destroyed Al-Shifa hospital. Our aim is to provide three levels of care:

1. Provide acute care of minor illnesses
2. Chronic disease management and ensure the patient has a large supply of medication to manage their condition.
3. Provide a referral service and the finances required to those who need hospital care.
Insha'Allah your donations (including zakat as these people are eligible) will be spent accordingly. 

There are approximately 100,000 Palestinian refugees in Egypt, who need your help! They have no access to employment, education or health and are surviving through charitable donations.

Across Gaza and Cairo, thousands of families are enduring unimaginable suffering, forced to face a daily struggle for survival. In Gaza, countless men, women, and children live under constant threat, trapped in a humanitarian crisis that has left them with limited access to food, medical care, and basic necessities. Meanwhile, displaced families in Cairo are desperately trying to rebuild their lives, relying on the generosity of others to sustain them through these difficult times.

This Ramadan, we are calling on your compassion to help us make a difference. With two planned deployments in March 2025, we aim to deliver life-saving aid directly to the people who need it most:

• 50% of funds raised will be allocated to Gaza, where your donations will go directly into the hands of families in need, providing urgent assistance in the form of food, blankets, and other essentials.

• 50% of funds raised will support vulnerable families in Cairo, predominantly through zakat money, distributed directly as cash to ensure they can meet their most immediate and pressing needs.

In Gaza, the situation is especially dire. Entire communities are living amidst rubble, enduring chronic shortages of food and medicine. Families are struggling to stay warm during freezing nights, and children are deprived of the safety and stability they deserve. The barriers to delivering physical aid are immense, but we are working with trusted local contacts to ensure cash reaches those in need, bypassing logistical obstacles and providing vital relief.

Our deployments are scheduled at the start of Ramadan (6–11th March 2025) and during the last 10 days of Ramadan (20–24th March 2025), In Sha Allah. These missions will ensure that aid is delivered at the most crucial moments of the holy month, bringing comfort and hope to those who are struggling to find light in their darkest days.

This ambitious target will enable us to provide meaningful relief to our brothers and sisters in Gaza and Cairo. The funds raised will support families directly, ensuring they can eat, stay warm, and regain some sense of normalcy amidst their trials.
